Sept 30, 2012

Sunday, September 30, 2012
  • "Deliver us, God, from our flesh."
  • Our responses need to be based upon the Bible.
  • We have direction from the Word of God.
  • You cannot let your "flesh" tell you what to do.
  • If you're sitting here with sin your life, you should feel uncomfortable!
  • We need to learn to wait on God.
  • The purpose of  your body is to take your spirit where it needs to go.
  • He'll not only keep you from going to hell; He'll get rid of the smell!
  • "The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding grounds of miracles."
  • What makes a good salesman? You're sold on the product.
  • "The battle of faith is won or lost in the arena of expectancy."
  • This thing doesn't work unless you live it.
  • What leads and guides you? Your spirit, soul, or body?
  • The Lord wants to inspire us to action.
  • Tired of how things are going? Change what comes out of your mouth.
  • "Circumspectly"...word of the Day. From Ephesians 5:15, meaning exactly, diligent, perfect, wisely.
  • Jesus was the perfect sacrifice; therefore we have a "perfect" salvation.
  • It takes a while to get in the Spirit; but just a moment to get out of it. Don't be distracted!
  • The wealth of the wicked is ours, but we have to do what He says.
  • The church needs an agenda.
  • God has way more planned for you than you do.
  • God's will for you is not to be drunk with wine, but to be filled with the Spirit.
  • To accomplish God's will:
        1. Speak to yourself in Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.
        2. Give thanks...always!
        3. Submit yourselves, one to another, in the fear of God.
  • You don't want to be "too" spiritual because you're "too" carnal.
  • When you stop having to be "right," it'll be right.
  • What makes me so smart? My dependency on God!
  • "Sometimes you have to get alone until you're not alone anymore."
  • You can be perfect if you want to be.
  • God can fix it; no matter what!
  • Study Ephesians 5 this week.
  • God has "increase" for each of us.
